Christopher L. Roma is a Partner at Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP and the Chairman of the Cannabis Practice Group and  member of the Business and Corporate law and Banking and Financial Services Practice Group.

Chris’s business and corporate practice involves counseling businesses of all sizes on a wide range of matters. Chris’s practice includes helping clients form and organize business entities, counseling existing business with respect to capital raising and commercial financing and drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts for businesses in a diverse range of industries.

Chris has acted as general counsel to LLCs, corporations, professional corporations (P.C.) and not for profit, tax exempt entities and regularly counsels these clients with respect to day to day management and operations of their businesses in this role.

As a member of the mergers and acquisitions team, Chris regularly assists clients through all stages of acquisition and sale transactions, from due diligence through the negotiation and drafting of documents for complex business transactions.

Chris’s banking and financial services practice is largely focused on counseling the firm’s banking and credit union clients with respect to compliance matters and day to day operation of their institutions.

Prior to joining HH&K, Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree from Binghamton University in 2010. He received his law degree in 2014 from Pace University School of Law, where he served as an Executive Case Note & Comment Editor of the PACE LAW REVIEW.

Born and raised in Endicott, New York, Chris has been an active member in the local business community since he first worked for his grandfather at Jim Roma’s Bakery more than 15 years ago. Dedicated to serving the Endicott and greater Binghamton communities, Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome and The Mercy House of the Southern Tier. Chris is an active member of St. Anthony’s of Padua church, serving as a lector and volunteering at the St. Anthony’s Learning Center.
